Dubai, United Arab Emirates, December 1, 2024: The United Arab Emirates National Olympic Committee held a workshop on strategic partnerships in sport with emphasis on the best practices of sports associations.
The one-day workshop was organised by the Technical and Management Committee of the UAE NOC and under the auspices of the chair of the committee, HE Nasser Al-Tamimi, who is also a member of the NOC’s Board of Directors.
The workshop’s focus was on the successful experiences of sports associations with private sector institutions.
Committee Chair Nasser Al-Tamimi underlined the importance of having a close cooperation with the private sector, including academies, schools, clubs and universities.
He pointed out that a close relationship would contribute to increasing numbers participating in sports, improving the performance of athletes, discovering and developing talent, taking advantage of infrastructure, supporting public-private cooperation, and promoting a sports culture and a healthy lifestyle in the community.
