Amman, Jordan, November 21, 2024: The Jordanian capital Amman will host the 40th Executive Committee meeting and 22nd General Assembly of the Union of Arab National Olympic Committees which gets underway on Thursday, November 21.
HRH Prince Abdulaziz bin Turki Al-Faisal, President of the Union of Arab National Olympic Committees and President of the Saudi Olympic and Paralympic Committee, will chair both the Executive Committee meeting and the General Assembly.
Delegations from 22 Arab National Olympic Committees will participate.
The Union of Arab NOCs was founded in 1976 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia and was then called the Arab Sports Games Federation, with the Saudi capital being the permanent headquarters. Its name was changed to the Union of Arab NOCs at the 12th General Assembly in Jeddah in 2008.
