Dubai, United Arab Emirates, November 19, 2024: The President of the United Arab Emirates National Olympic Committee, Sheikh Ahmed bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, took a commemorative photograph with the gold medallists in the first edition of the Gulf Youth Games held in the UAE in April 2024.
The photograph was taken on the sidelines of the General Assembly of the UAE National Olympic Committee last week.
The Emirates topped the overall medal standings of the inaugural Gulf Cooperation Council Youth Games with 296 medals, including 96 gold.
Meanwhile, the General Assembly approved the extension of the current Board of Directors of the UAE NOC to the end of the 2028 Olympic Games, instructing that all necessary legal actions are taken in case any seats are vacated during this period.
