Kathmandu, Nepal, November 14, 2024: The President of the Nepal Olympic Committee, Jeevan Ram Shrestha, and NOC Secretary General Nilendra Raj Shrestha recently met with the Head of the Yunnan Sports Bureau, Yang Zhonghua.
The Nepal NOC leaders had discussions with Yang and other Chinese officials on training opportunities for Nepali athletes in Yunnan Province, and increased collaboration to enhance Nepal-China sports relations.
This cooperation is aimed at boosting the performance of Nepali athletes on the international stage.
Both parties also discussed the Lumbini International Peace Marathon, a popular event held every year.
Meanwhile the Nepal NOC has congratulated Secretary General Nilendra Raj Shrestha for winning the World Triathlon 2024, Special Award of Excellence.
