Baghdad, Iraq, November 14, 2024: The President of the National Olympic Committee of Iraq, Dr. Aqeel Muftin, received Iraqi Member of Parliament Aisha Al-Masari at the NOC headquarters in Baghdad on Wednesday, November 13.
The Iraqi NOC President welcomed Member of Parliament Al-Masari, and described her visit as a positive step towards furthering communication between the country’s highest electoral body, the House of Representatives, and the sporting community.
Dr. Muftin briefed his visitor on the work of the Iraq National Olympic Committee as well as bringing her up to date on the national sporting scene.
In turn, Al-Masari praised the warm welcome and reception she had received and lauded the performances of Iraqi teams and athletes in recent times as well as work the work of the Iraq NOC in the development of sports in the country.
