Malaysia’s CDM at Paris 2024 presents official report to OCM

Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, November 10, 2024: Tan Sri Dato’ Hamidin Mohd Amin, Deputy President of the Olympic Council of Malaysia, presented his Chef de Mission Report for the Paris 2024 Olympic Games during the 211th OCM Executive Council meeting held on Saturday, November 9, 2024 at the PETRONAS Akademi Badminton Malaysia in Kuala Lumpur.

 

 

In his presentation, Tan Sri Dato’ Hamidin Mohd Amin shared a short video, providing a dynamic overview of all the activities and programmes conducted before and during the Paris Olympics. Additionally, he presented a detailed written report encompassing various aspects of the Malaysian contingent in the Games.

 

Tan Sri Dato’ Hamidin Mohd Amin also took the opportunity to thank the OCM, particularly its President, Tan Sri Dato’ Sri (Dr.) Mohamad Norza Zakaria, for entrusting him with the role of CDM at Paris 2024.

 

He further extended his appreciation to the Minister of Youth and Sports Malaysia, Y.B. Hannah Yeoh, for her continuous support to the Malaysian contingent, particularly through the Road to Gold programme.

 

He said he hoped that his CDM report would serve as a valuable guide and reference to all stakeholders in future Olympic endeavours.

 

In a concluding ceremony, Tan Sri Dato’ Hamidin Mohd Amin formally handed over a hard copy of the CDM report to Tan Sri Dato’ Sri (Dr.) Mohamad Norza Zakaria, marking the conclusion of his duties and responsibilities for the Paris Olympics.

 

The OCM President said: “On behalf of the entire OCM family, I would like to extend our heartfelt gratitude to Tan Sri Hamidin, Datuk Nicol David, the National Sports Associations affiliated with OCM, the Team Managers and Coaches, the Ministry of Youth and Sports, the National Sports Council, the National Sports Institute and our OCM Secretariat for their dedicated services and sacrifices, ensuring a successful outing at the Paris Olympics.”

 

He also highlighted the performances of bronze medal-winning badminton athletes Aaron Chia/Soh Wooi Yik in men’s doubles and Lee Zii Jia in men’s singles.
