Muscat, Oman, November 7, 2024: The Oman Olympic Committee announced that Dr. Afrah Al-Jabria, a member of the OOC anti-doping committee, has received a grant to follow the Diploma of Sports Medicine offered by the International Olympic Committee.
Dr. Afrah will join the two-year course, enabling the OOC to promote the development of national competencies in the field of sports medicine and keep up with global developments in this vital field.
The OOC anti-doping committee, meanwhile, is holding a Science Festival in order to raise the awareness of clean sport and educate youth on the pitfalls of taking steroids and its danger on health and athletic performance.
The festival will continue until November 11.
