Kathmandu, Nepal, October 10, 2024: The President of Nepal Olympic Committee, Jeevan Ram Shrestha, bid farewell to Nepal Olympians Association President Deepak Bista, who left on Wednesday, October 9, for Lausanne, Switzerland.
Bista will be attending the World Olympians Association special general meeting in Lausanne from October 10-12.
The main agenda at the SGM is the election of office bearers of the WOA, which is an independent association of Olympic Games competitors. There are 108 National Olympians Associations spread across all five continents.
Also present at the farewell ceremony at the NOC headquarters in Satdobato were NOC Secretary General Nilendra Raj Shrestha, President of Nepal National and International Association Deepak Shrestha, President of Nepal Weightlifting Association Ram Shrestha, NOC Executive Secretary Sujan Lal Shrestha and Nepal Olympians Association Secretary Devu Thapa.
