Bhutan NOC felicitates chess candidate masters

Thimphu, Bhutan, October 10, 2024: The Bhutan Olympic Committee felicitated three members of the Bhutan chess team who have been awarded the title of Candidate Masters by the International Chess Federation (FIDE).

 

BOC Secretary General Sonam Karma Tshering congratulated the three players who had won FIDE recognition after performing exceptionally well at the 45th Chess Olympiad in Budapest, Hungary.

 

The three are: Lhundrup Dorji (Candidate Master), Suk Raj Monger (Candidate Master), and Asha Huang Limboo (Women Candidate Master).

 

The Candidate Master title is awarded to players who have a FIDE rating of 2200 or higher.
