Manila, Philippines, October 9, 2024: The Philippine Sports Commission is holding a series of Safe Sport workshops for National Sports Associations to promote a safe environment for athletes and coaches.
The venue for the workshops is the athletes’ dining hall at the PhilSports Arena, known as ULTRA, in Pasig city, taking the workshops to the home and training base of the athletes in different sports.
The PSC, which is the government agency for sport in the Philippines, is conducting the programme in collaboration with Safe Sport Philippines and the Philippine Commission on Women in promoting a safe sports environment for both athletes and coaches.
The workshops are intended to inform the participants about the importance of safeguarding policies or measures that will be able to protect them while practising sports.
