Pleiku, Vietnam, October 8, 2024: The Vietnam Olympic Committee is continuing to promote water safety around the country.
The latest zonal course in drowning prevention was held at Pleiku city, capital of Gia Lai province in the central highlands, from October 3-6.
Around 120 teachers took part from elementary schools, high schools and provincial military in order to pass on their life-saving skills to children and students.
Chief guests at the opening ceremony were Mr. Nguyen Van Y, Deputy Director of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Gia Lia province; Mr. Tran Bao Son, Director of the District Training and Sports Competition Center of Gia Lai province; and leaders of the Department of Education and Training of Gia Lai province.
