Doha, Qatar, October 2, 2024: The Qatar Olympic Committee in collaboration with Hamad Medical Corporation organised a one-day awareness workshop titled "Early Detection Saves Lives" at the QOC headquarters on Tuesday, October 1.
The event was attended by QOC’s female staff and representatives from the Qatar Cancer Society. The workshop was led by a professional medical team from HMC, including four doctors, a clinical dietician, nurse and a patient educator.
The workshop addressed key topics like: raising awareness of the importance of early detection and its crucial role in enhancing recovery chances; encouraging participants to take practical steps for disease prevention; and sharing inspiring success stories that highlight how to overcome cancer.
This event was held in conjunction with Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
