Dubai, United Arab Emirates, September 29, 2024: The Secretary General of the United Arab Emirates National Olympic Committee, Faris Mohammed Al Mutawa, met with the Organising Committee of the International Conference for Sports Medicine on Friday, September 27, to discuss final preparations for the event next month.
More than 2,000 people from all over the world will gather in the UAE from October 24-27 for the Sports Medicine conference, including physiotherapists, orthopedic surgeons, nutritionists and psychiatrists.
Present at the meeting were Dr. Yannis Pitsiladis, Chairman of the Scientific Committee of the International Sports Medicine Federation, Dr. Hashel Al-Taniji, Chairman of the Sports Medicine Committee of the UAE NOC, and other officials.
Dr. Pitsiladis acknowledged the efforts of the UAE NOC, especially its Sports Medicine Committee, for all the effort that had been put in to making the conference a success, and noted that this event would be a landmark international event in the Emirates.
