Tashkent, Uzbekistan, September 18, 2024: The Secretary General of the Uzbekistan National Olympic Committee, Oybek Kasimov, visited Dream Park in Tashkent where he met Husan Mirzahabibov, who has completed a mural depicting the country’s 13 medal heroes at Paris 2024.
The creative mural was accomplished using Rubik’s Cubes. Mirzahabibov revealed he had used 11,000 cubes to complete the task which was sponsored by Dream Park.
Mirzahabibov also noted that the performance of Uzbekistan athletes at the Paris 2024 Games was an inspiration to him, and he said he wanted his work to contribute to the “promotion of Olympism among our youth.”
NOC Secretary General Kasimov thanked Mirzahabibov on behalf of the Olympic family of Uzbekistan and wished him success in his future endeavours.
Uzbekistan won 13 medals in Paris comprised of eight gold medals, two silver and three bronze to finish in 13thposition in the overall medal standings. Five of the eight gold medals came in boxing.
