Asia-Oceania boxing champions and 63 qualifiers for Tokyo 2020

Amman, Jordan, March 11, 2020: Kazakhstan and India finished with the most boxers to qualify for this summer’s Olympic Games following the Asia/Oceania qualifiers in Jordan.

Following a superb nine days of action from March 3-11, the finals night delivered an occasion to remember and it was Kazakhstan and India who shared top honours with nine boxers from each nation booking their Tokyo 2020 spots.

But it was China who excelled on the last evening with four boxers securing gold medals, three of them in the women's competition.

NOTE: A total of 63 boxers booked their tickets to Tokyo 2020 - 41 men in eight weight categories and 22 women in five weight categories.

The last chance for boxers to qualify for Tokyo will be the Final World Olympic Boxing Qualifying Tournament in Paris from May 13-20.

There will be a total of 286 boxers in the Tokyo Olympics from July 24 to August 9, with 186 men in eight weight categories and 100 women in five weight categories.
