Qatar Olympic Committee lauds presence of three top officials in key OCA roles

Doha, Qatar, September 9, 2024: The Qatar Olympic Committee has applauded the strong presence of leading QOC officials elected to key positions in the Olympic Council of Asia at the 44th OCA General Assembly held in New Delhi on Sunday, September 8.

 

“Prominent Qatari leaders were elected for key OCA positions, reflecting Qatar’s strong presence in the Asian sporting landscape,” the QOC stated on its Facebook page.

 

Dr. Thani bin Abdulrahman Al-Kuwari, second vice president of QOC, was elected as OCA Vice President for West Asia.

 

Jassim Rashid Al-Buenain, QOC Secretary General, was elected as OCA Vice President overseeing the 2030 Doha Asian Games.

 

Sheikha Asma Al Thani, QOC director of international marketing and cooperation, was appointed as vice-president of the OCA Gender Equity Committee.

 

The election and appointments of the three QOC officials was lauded by the QOC.
