Two-time Olympic champion Rezazadeh appointed advisor to Iran NOC President

Tehran, Iran, September 2, 2024: Two-time Olympic weightlifting gold medallist Hossein Rezazadeh has been appointed as special advisor to Mahmoud Khosravi Vafa, the President of the National Olympic Committee of the Islamic Republic of Iran.

 

The Iranian heavyweight weightlifting champion was appointed advisor to the NOC President at an executive board meeting held in Tehran last week.

 

Rezazadeh, 46, was Olympic gold medallist at Sydney 2000 and Athens 2004, and a four-time world champion. He was given the appointment letter of Olympians’ Affairs Advisor to NOC President Khosravi Vafa.
