Amman, Jordan, August 26, 2024: The Jordan Olympic Committee has extended its deepest condolences on the death of former minister Mohammad Khair Mamser, who passed away on Saturday, August 24.
In a post on its Instagram page, the JOC wrote: “Dr. Mohammad Khair Mamser is considered one of the most prominent figures who contributed to the development of Jordanian youth and sports development. We extend our sincere condolences to the Jordanian sports and youth family.”
Dr. Mamser served twice as minister of Social Development and was Minister of Youth between 1997 and 1999. He was also the Secretary General of the Ministry of Youth for almost a decade from 1989 to 1997.
He was also the recipient of several distinguished awards including the King Hussein Medal of Distinguished Giving.
