Tashkent, Uzbekistan, August 25, 2024: The National Olympic Committee of Uzbekistan has congratulated Minister of Sports Adham Ikramov, who has been bestowed a national award by the president of the country on the occasion of the 33rdanniversary of the Independence of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
President Shavkat Mirziyoyev on Saturday, August 24, announced that the Minister of Sports was among a group of people from the sports industry who will be recognised for their hard work in promoting sports and, as such, Adham Ikramov will be duly granted the prestigious honorary national title.
Senior officials from the boxing, judo and field hockey federations were also given national awards.
“The National Olympic Committee of Uzbekistan congratulates the specialists of the field who received the high state awards and wishes them great success in their future activities,” the NOC posted.
Uzbekistan celebrates its 33rd Independence Day on September 1.
