Phnom Penh, Cambodia, August 14, 2024: The Prime Minister of Cambodia, Hun Manet, has congratulated and thanked the Cambodian athletes who took part in the Paris 2024 Olympic Games.
Although the results were disappointing, the Prime Minister said that he was grateful for the athletes for representing the flag of the Kingdom on the global platform of the Olympic Games.
“Even though the results were not good, our team of players and representatives played their role and task to bring the Cambodia flag to the great competition on the international stage, offering Khmer pride,” he said.
The Prime Minister’s comments came on the afternoon of Monday, August 12 when the delegation returned home following the closing ceremony on Sunday, August 11.
