UAE NOC pushes for increased cooperation with French Cycling Federation

Paris, France, August 6, 2024: Top officials of the United Arab Emirates National Olympic Committee and the UAE Cycling Federation have held talks with their counterparts at the French Cycling Federation on closer cooperation between the two countries in the sport.

 

UAE NOC Secretary General Faris Mohammed Al Mutawa and the President of the UAE Cycling Federation, Mansoor Juma Buosaiba, met Michel Callot, President of the French Cycling Federation, on the fringes of the Paris Olympics on Monday, August 5.

 

At the meeting held at the Emirates Olympic House in the French capital, both parties discussed ways to increase cooperation in technical development as well as training aspects at the elite level.

 

The UAE officials also highlighted the fact that for the first time an Emirati female cyclist – Safia Al Sayegh – had qualified for the road race at the Olympics underlining the scope for improvement in the sport.
