Saudi NOC President Prince Abdulaziz hosts official dinner at Paris Olympics

Paris, France, July 31, 2024: HRH Prince Abdulaziz bin Turki Al Faisal, President of the Saudi Olympic & Paralympic Committee and head of the Saudi delegation at Paris 2024, hosted an official dinner for the Saudi delegation in the French capital on Tuesday, July 30.

 

Prince Abdulaziz welcomed all the distinguished guests, including heads of National Olympic Committees, International Federations and sports leaders from around the world.

 

In his welcome speech, Prince Abdulaziz expressed his gratitude to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz, and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman for their unprecedented support for sports in the Kingdom.

 

Prince Abdulaziz noted that this support had elevated Saudi Arabia to the ranks of the world’s leading sports nations.

 

IOC Vice President Ng Ser Miang praised the outstanding partnership between the IOC and the SOPC, highlighting it as one of the most significant in the IOC’s history due to Saudi Arabia’s substantial role and support for various global sports.

 

The event featured displays of Saudi products made in collaboration with "Made in Saudi" and musical performances showcasing Saudi heritage and folklore. 

 

Saudi Arabia is being represented by 10 athletes in four sports in Paris – athletics, equestrian, swimming and taekwondo.
