Nepal Olympic Committee holds oratory competition to mark Paris Olympics

Kathmandu, Nepal, July 30, 2024: The Nepal Olympic Committee held an oratory competition titled "The Role of Sports in Peace and Prosperity" at the NOC headquarters in Kathmandu on Monday, July 29.

 

The event was held to mark the Paris 2024 Olympics and was organised by the Peace Through Sports Commission of the Nepal Olympic Committee.

 

The speech-making competition was won by Keshav Kafle, who pocketed a monetary prize Rs. 12,000 (US$90). Ayushma Gautam was second while Prerana Batala took third place.

 

A total of 21 students from 15 schools participated in the competition which was being held for the first time by the Peace Through Sports Commission.

 

Former president of the NOC Dhruv Bahadur Pradhan presented books and certificates to all participants.
