OCA VP Otabek Umarov visits Paris 2024 Athletes Village

Paris, France, July 28, 2024: Otabek Umarov, Vice President of the Olympic Council of Asia, paid a visit to the Paris 2024 Athletes Village to see first-hand how Uzbekistan’s delegation was being accommodated and the services available for them.

 

Umarov, who joined the OCA Executive Board as a Vice President connected to Tashkent's hosting of the Asian Youth Games in 2025, visited the rooms of Uzbek athletes, the Uzbekistan National Olympic Committee offices and the medical facilities.

 

He was welcomed by NOC Secretary General Oybek Kasimov and met a number of athletes and talked about their final preparations for competition. Umarov wished the Uzbek athletes good luck and hoped they would bring medal glory to the country.

 

Uzbekistan is fielding 86 athletes – 54 men and 32 women – in 16 sports at the Paris Games.
