Kyrgyzstan to be represented by 16 athletes in five sports at Paris 2024

Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan, July 25, 2024: Kyrgyzstan will be represented by 16 athletes - 11 men and five women - in five sports at the Paris 2024 Olympics.

 

Wrestling will make the bulk of the team with 10 athletes participating – seven men in both freestyle and Greco-Roman and three women in freestyle. The other sports Kyrgyzstan will compete in are athletics, boxing, judo and swimming.

 

The President of the Kyrgyz Republic, Sadyr Japarov, and the President of the National Olympic Committee, Sadyr Mamytov, participated in an official farewell ceremony for the Olympic delegation last Sunday.

 

The Kyrgyzstan NOC also unveiled the official kit the athletes will wear at the opening ceremony of the Paris Games. The kit, which will reflect the colour of the national flag, was made by Chinese apparel company 361.
