Thimphu, Bhutan, July 17, 2024: The Bhutan Olympic Committee has launched the first sports insurance scheme to support local athletes during domestic and international competitions.
The signing ceremony between the BOC and Bhutan Insurance Limited took place on July 16 in Thimphu and coincided with the 40th birthday of His Royal Highness Prince Jigyel Ugyen Wangchuck, President of the BOC.
“This will cover our athletes with any injuries related to sports. Thank you to Bhutan Insurance Limited for their collaboration and support,” the BOC said, under the slogan “Your shield against the unexpected”.
