Amman, Jordan, July 3, 2024: The Jordan Olympic Committee, through the Life Support Training Centre, has obtained the American Heart Association accreditation.
The JOC is the first non-medical institution in the world to earn this endorsement for the Basic Life Support and Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation courses.
JOC Secretary General Rana Al-Saeed underscored the importance of this accreditation saying it would help train technical and administrative cadres in the sports sector in cardiopulmonary resuscitation techniques.
Al-Saeed said: “This accreditation is a new achievement for Jordanian sports and the Jordanian Olympic Committee with all its cadres and departments. It will give the Life Support Training Centre greater opportunities to hold specialised courses.”
The Medical Department of the JOC is keen to train personnel in the sports sector in first aid and specialised courses to ensure the safety of athletes and the entire sports community.
