UAE judo team to train in Barcelona prior to Paris Olympics

Dubai, United Arab Emirates, July 2, 2024: The United Arab Emirates judo team bound for the Paris 2024 Olympics will undergo a three-week training camp in Barcelona, Spain.

 

The nine-member team led by Nasser Al-Tamimi, a member of the UAE National Olympic Committee and Secretary General of the UAE Judo Federation, arrived in Barcelona on Monday, July 1.

 

The national team comprises six athletes – five men and one woman. They are Narmand Bayan (-66kg); Talal Shevili (-81kg); Aram Gregorian (-90kg); Zafer Aram (-100kg) ; and Omar Kulek (+100kg). The sole female judoka is Bashirat Kharudi (-52kg).

 

The training camp will last until July 25, after which the team will leave for Paris.
