"The OCA would like to extend its deepest condolences to the Sports Federation and Olympic Committee of Hong Kong, China on the passing of Mr A de O Sales, Who passed away at the grand old age of 100 years.
Mr. Sales was the Chairman of the OCA Rules Committee for over two decades and was instrumental in drafting the first ever OCA Constitution.
He developed the OCA Constitution in its current form.
"'Mr Sales was one of the most inspiring and charismatic sports leaders of his generation, not only in Hong Kong and Asia but throughout the world.
"He will be remembered for his devotion to the Olympic sports movement and particularly for his commitment and dedication to the athletes of Hong Kong across a wide range of sports.
"His work over many years laid the foundations for a dynamic Olympic movement that we see in Hong Kong, China today in terms of both administration and the high performance of the athletes at the Olympic Games and Asian Games.
"Our thoughts are with the Olympic Committee President Mr Timothy Fok, the Hong Kong sports leaders and, of course, with the family of Mr Sales at this difficult time.
"His contribution will never be forgotten in the history of Asian sport."
