Doha, Qatar, July 1, 2024: The Qatar Olympic Committee in collaboration with the Qatar Winter Sports Committee celebrated Olympic Day 2024 with a number of winter sports events at the Ali Bin Hamad Al Attiyah Arena last week.
The cold setting didn’t dampen the enthusiasm of participants who got into the spirit of the day as they took part in ice hockey, curling, figure skating and short track speed skating races.
There was a wide turnout from all parts of society as they enjoyed the novelty of winter sports as well as learning about the Olympic Movement which on June 23 every year celebrates the establishment of the International Olympic Committee in 1894.
A demonstration of all sports was also held and much appreciated by all guests and attendees.
