Kuwait City, Kuwait, June 30, 2024: The 85th OCA Executive Board meeting on June 30, 2024 decided the date and place of the OCA Elective General Assembly in Delhi on September 8, 2024.
The decision of the OCA Executive Board was circulated to the OCA’s member National Olympic Committees.
The date has been finalised following the approval of the new OCA Constitution at the 43rd OCA General Assembly in Bangkok on May 11, 2024 and by the 85th OCA Executive Board meeting held online on Sunday, June 30.
The OCA enclosed the “OCA Election Rules & Guidelines” as approved by the OCA Executive Board on June 30 with the circular, along with the nomination forms and proposed agenda.
The Elective General Assembly will hold the election for OCA President and Executive Board.
The OCA asks for National Olympic Committees to forward the nomination form of their candidate to the OCA by 17.00 hours, Kuwait time, on July 21, 2024.
The 44th OCA General Assembly in Delhi is due to start at 10am on Sunday, September 8. The agenda includes the election for President and for the Vice Presidents for East Asia, Southeast Asia, South Asia, Central Asia and West Asia.
All candidates must pass the eligibility check by the OCA Election Committee. The election will be conducted by secret ballot.
