Singapore, June 30, 2024: The Olympic Day celebrations of the Singapore National Olympic Council will have special significance this year – because they will take place one day after the opening ceremony of the Olympic Games in Paris.
The Singapore celebrations are set for Saturday, July 27 – over one month after the designated International Olympic Day of June 23 but with the Paris opening ceremony from July 26 still fresh in the memory.
Singapore NOC has announced that Olympic Day 2024 will run from 7.30am to 10am at the Singapore Sports Hub on Saturday, July 27.
The activities will include an Olympic Day Walk of 3.8km, a Dance of the Nation workout, the Healthy 365 roadshow, stories from Team Singapore athletes and sports try-outs.
“Support the Pesta Sukan Games and enjoy free entry to all competition venues,” the SNOC posted, referring to the Malay phrase for Festival of Sports.
“Don’t miss out on this fantastic day of fun and fitness, and celebration of the Olympic spirit.”
Members of the public can sign up before Sunday, July 14, 2024.
The Olympic Day is held in conjunction with the GetActive! Singapore launch and supported by Olympians Singapore.
