Tashkent, Uzbekistan, June 26, 2024: The National Olympic Committee of Uzbekistan has hailed the national judo team after 11 judokas, including four women, qualified for the Paris 2024 Olympics.
Uzbekistan will be represented in judo in Paris by seven men and four women in the individual events and they will also have a mixed team.
After two years of qualification for Paris 2024, the International Judo Federation on Tuesday, June 25, announced the qualifiers after the end of the Lima Pan American Open last weekend.
The IJF published them by weight category and by nation, as well as for the teams that have obtained a quota in the mixed team competition.
Uzbekistan broke ground by having 11 athletes qualified as per IJF rankings – the most number of judokas the country will send to the Olympics.
