Doha, Qatar, June 23, 2024: The Qatar Olympic Committee in collaboration with the 3-2-1 Qatar Olympic Sports Museum celebrated Olympic Day 2024 by hosting a day of exciting activities under the theme – "Let’s Move 2024 X Paris 2024" on Sunday, June 23.
The programme was designed to inspire the community to participate in sports and celebrate the rich heritage of the Olympic Games.
Throughout the day, visitors to the Olympic Sports Museum can engage in interactive competitions featuring activities that focus on speed, height and strength which is in line with the Olympic ideals. The top three placed participants received awards.
Demonstrations in a number of Olympic sports and workshops were also held where participants were able to measure their speed and agility. And harking back to ancient times, participants were able to engage in crafting crowns for the winners of the Ancient Olympics and gold medals for winners of the Modern Olympics.
Director of 3-2-1 Qatar Olympic Sports Museum Abdulla Yousuf Al Mulla said: “We are thrilled to invite the community to join us in celebrating international Olympic Day.
"This is a unique opportunity for everyone to experience the excitement and spirit of the Olympic Games first hand. Our diverse range of activities was designed to inspire people of all ages to get moving and embrace the values of excellence, friendship and respect that the Olympics represent.”
