Registration deadline approaches for OCA safeguarding webinar

Kuwait City, Kuwait, May 29, 2024: The Olympic Council of Asia has reminded stakeholders that the deadline to register for the safeguarding webinar is fast approaching.

 

The OCA, in collaboration with the International Olympic Committee’s Safe Sport Unit, will be organizing a webinar on the Safeguarding of Athletes and Other Participants During Games-Time Period on Tuesday, June 11.

 

The webinar is open to Chefs de Mission for Paris 2024, CDMs for the 6th Asian Indoor and Martial Arts Games in Thailand this November, NOC Single Point of Contacts in Safeguarding and anyone else from NOCs and national organisations specialising in this field.

 

The OCA is asking people to register by Tuesday, June 4 at: https://app.ocadsp.org/register/webinaronthesafeguardingofathletes#/  

 

The objectives of the webinar are to ensure that all Asian NOCs understand the importance of safeguarding at games-time and the importance of including a Welfare Officer as part of the team delegations at the Games; to disseminate OCA guidelines and game framework; to review Paris 2024 NOC games preparation; and to present Insights from Singapore Games-Time Efforts.
