Kazakhstan NOC honours leading sports officials in country

Nur-Sultan, Kazakhstan, March 3, 2020: The Kazakhstan Olympic Committee has recognised a number of leading sports officials for their contribution to the Olympic movement in the country.

At an awards ceremony held during last week’s General Assembly of the National Olympic Committee of Kazakhstan, seven leading personalities were given ‘Signs of Honour’ by the President of Kazakhstan NOC Timur Kulibayev for their contribution to the development of Olympic sports and the Olympic movement.

The following people were given signs “Honoured person of Olympic movement of the Republic of Kazakhstan” of the first degree.

They are: 

Nurtay Abykaev, President of Kazakhstan Volleyball Federation

Danial Akhmetov, President of Athletics Federation of Kazakhstan

Arystanbek Mukhamediuly, President of Shooting Federation of Kazakhstan

Berik Imashev, President of Modern Pentathlon Federation of Kazakhstan

Amantai Kurebekov, President of Curling Association of Kazakhstan

Yuri Makogon, Chairman of NOC Kazakhstan branch in Almaty

Sauat Mynbayev, President of Greco-Roman, Freestyle and Women’s Wrestling Federation of Kazakhstan
