Tehran, Iran, May 21, 2024: The National Olympic Committee of the Islamic Republic of Iran has extended its condolences on the death of the country’s President Ebrahim Raisi.
“We extend condolences on behalf of the Iranian sports community to the nation, families of the martyred officials of the flight, the Supreme Leader and all hardworking cabinet members of the government,” the Iran NOC posted on its Facebook page.
President Raisi. 63, was killed in a helicopter crash in a mountainous area of north-western Iran, along with Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian and other senior government officials, on Sunday, May 19.
