Lahore, Pakistan, May 13, 2024: The Pakistan Olympic Association has announced a painting competition for youth to mark Olympic Day 2024.
To commemorate the birth of the modern Olympics and as the Paris 2024 Olympics draws near, the POA revealed details of the painting competition for children between the ages of 13 and 17.
“We are thrilled to announce a painting competition for youth, giving them a canvas to express their visions of the Paris 2024 Olympics,” the POA posted on its Facebook page.
The deadline for entries is May 31, and it must be sent to Olympic House in Lahore.
Entrants can send their works in oil paints, acrylic paints or water colour. They can choose from three themes surrounding the Paris 2024 Olympics: (a) your understanding of the Paris 2024 Olympic Games (b) Your favourite sport at these Games, and (c) your favourite Pakistani athlete at these Games.
The top six winners of each theme will be invited to Olympic House where they will all be awarded merit certificates, and this will be followed by a shortlisting of the top three paintings. Cash prizes will also be on offer. The prize distribution ceremony is set for July 15.
