Hanoi, Vietnam, May 7, 2024: Two shooters from Vietnam are planning an extended training camp in Europe before heading for the Olympic Games in Paris in July.
Trinh Thu Vinh, 23, and Le Thi Mong Tuyen, 21, are attending the ISSF World Cup rifle/pistol/shotgun in Baku, Azerbaijan from May 1-12.
Their plan is to compete in the ISSF World Cup rifle/pistol in Munich, Germany from May 31 to June 8 and then remain in Europe to adapt to the conditions, climate and time zone ahead of the Paris Olympics, which open July 26.
Another possibility is that they go to Korea and train alongside the Korean shooters in the build-up to Paris.
According to Mrs. Vu Thi Dao, who is in charge of the shooting sports department, said Trinh Thu Vinh will compete in the women’s 25m air pistol and 10m air pistol and Le Thi Mong Tuyen in the women’s 10m air rifle at Paris.
