Lausanne, Switzerland, May 6, 2024: P.T. Usha, the President of the Indian Olympic Association, has visited the IOC headquarters in Lausanne, Switzerland and also made a site visit of sporting venues at the Paris 2024 Olympics.
At Olympic House in Lausanne, P.T. Usha met with IOC President Thomas Bach, who presented her with an Olympic certificate. She also toured the Olympic Museum in Lausanne where the Indian national flag was hoisted in honour of her visit.
"I had an incredible interaction and discussion, and was grateful to be presented with the Olympic certificate during my visit," P.T. Usha was quoted as saying on the IOA's Instagram page.
The IOA President was also briefed on the IOC TV and Marketing, Olympism 365 and the work of the IOC Athletes’ Department. She was also informed about the many different activities of the Olympic Refuge Foundation.
In Paris, P.T. Usha met with HE Jawed Ashraf, Ambassador of India to the Republic of France and Principality of Monaco, and discussed preparations for the Paris Olympic Games which are due to commence in less than 90 days.
During her ground visit to various sporting venues in Paris, the IOA President was accompanied by IOA CEO Raghu Iyer and other Indian officials.
