JOC President Prince Faisal receives high-level delegation from Hope and Dreams Festival

Amman, Jordan, May 6, 2024: HRH Prince Faisal bin Al Hussein, President of the Jordan Olympic Committee and IOC Executive Board member, received a delegation from the Hope and Dreams Festival at the Olympic Preparation Centre in Amman last week.

 

Prince Faisal was accompanied by HH Prince Rashid bin Al Hassan, President of the Jordanian Taekwondo Federation, in welcoming the delegation participating in the festival organised by the Taekwondo Humanitarian Foundation.

 

The JOC president expressed his appreciation for the delegation’s efforts through their sports federations and institutions in supporting refugees and helping children through sports in the Azraq and Zaatari refugee camps.

 

JOC Secretary General Rana Al-Saeed then gave a presentation on the JOC’s directions and role of the High Performance Athletes Department and the Olympic Preparation Centre.

 

The visiting delegation met some of the Jordanian athletes who have qualified for the Paris 2024 Olympics during the visit and watched them train.

 

The delegation included HH Prince Fahd bin Jalawi, Vice President of the Saudi Olympic and Paralympic Committee, Dr. Choue Chung Won, President of World Taekwondo, and Riccardo Fraccari, President of the International Baseball and Softball Federation.
