Olympic champion guides wrestlers in Laos training camp

Luang Prabang, Laos, May 3, 2024: The National Olympic Committee of Laos, in conjunction with Olympic Solidarity, held a training camp for wrestlers in Luang Prabang province.

The camp took place from April 22-26 and was conducted by Ghasemi Komeil, who represented Iran in two Olympic Games. He won the gold medal in super heavyweight (120kg) freestyle at London 2012 and the silver medal in super heavyweight (125kg) freestyle at Rio 2016.

Olympic Solidarity funding for the camp came under the project of the Development of the National Sports System in Wrestling.

The wrestlers studied theory, training routines and technique. Around 20 people participated in the camp.
