Kathmandu, Nepal, April 29, 2024: The President of the Nepal Olympic Committee, Jeevan Ram Shrestha, and NOC Secretary General Nilendra Raj Shrestha welcomed Marisol Casado, President of World Triathlon, at the NOC Headquarters in Kathmandu last Thursday, April 25.
Mrs. Casado, who is also an IOC Member, was paying a courtesy visit to Nepal where World Triathlon has been involved for a long time.
Following the tragic earthquake that hit Nepal in April 2015, World Triathlon began a fundraising project to help the Nepalese people. It also helped build and create a Triathlon Talent School in the country.
NOC Secretary General Nilendra Raj Shrestha has also been involved in triathlon for many years in Nepal and is the Secretary General of the Nepal Triathlon Association.
