Thimphu, Bhutan, April 24, 2024: His Royal Highness Prince Jigyel Ugyen Wangchuck, President of the Bhutan Olympic Committee, celebrated Olympic Day with the youth of Phuentsholing on Tuesday, April 23, 2024.
Together with spreading the principles and ideals of the Olympic Movement, students and members of the community were introduced to health and fitness assessments.
The sports science team had a dedicated station to conduct a variety of tests and managed to gather data on most students in Phuentsholing.
Such data will help assess the health and fitness of students in schools and also support in identifying potential talent from a young age.
Phuentsholing is a border town in southern Bhutan and adjoins the Indian town of Jaigaon.
