Hangzhou, China, April 23, 2024: The Asian Electronic Sports Federation (AESF), the China Sports and Information Centre (CSIC) and Gongshu District People's Government of Hangzhou City have signed a tri-party Memorandum of Understanding as part of the legacy of the 19th Asian Games.
The AESF was represented by Executive Board member Santi Lothong; the CSIC by Gao Yifan, Deputy Director of the Integrated Business and Esports Department; and the Gongshu District People's Government by Zhang Jianming, Party Committee member of CPC Gongshu District Committee.
The MoU will focus on leveraging the legacy of the 19th Asian Games through documentation and knowledge exchange to provide a global reference to the Esports community for international Esports competitions at Olympic events.
Mr. Santi stated that, through the joint development and publication of the "Esports Competition White Paper" and "Esports Competition Organisation and Operation Handbook" of the 19th Hangzhou Asian Games, they aim to set new standards and professionalism in Esports competitions.
The documents will ensure the inclusion of comprehensive insights and analyses, as well as guidelines pertinent to the 19th Asian Games and Esports event management.
The MoU signing ceremony was held on Friday, April 19.
