Baghdad, Iraq, April 18, 2024: The National Olympic Committee of Iraq will hold a two-day media workshop next week at the NOC headquarters in Baghdad.
The Director of the Olympic Academy, Dr. Hadi Abdullah, will deliver the keynote address at the workshop which will comprise a number of theoretical lectures and special discussions on the nature of sports journalism.
Ways on how the NOC and sports federations present a uniform platform to the media, one in line with the Olympic Charter, will also be deliberated.
Also among the topics of discussion will be how media can coordinate and work with national sports federations and the National Olympic Committee, as well as looking at the responsibilities of a media spokesman working for a sports federation.
Among the key aims of the workshop is creating media awareness among officials of national sports federations.
