POC briefs national associations on Paris Olympics operations

Manila, Philippines, April 16, 2024: The Philippine Olympic Committee held their first POC Journey to Olympics Briefing on the road to Paris 2024.

The briefing was led by the POC President, Abraham “Bambol” Tolentino, and Secretary General Atty Wharton Chan and was attended by representatives of National Sports Associations, POC staff and local media.

The aim of the briefing was to provide crucial information about Paris 2024 and to make sure everyone was on the same page regarding preparations, logistics and management.

So far, the Philippines has qualified nine athletes to the Paris Olympics: Three each in boxing and weightlifting, two in gymnastics and one in athletics.
