Ramallah, Palestine, April 15, 2024: The Palestine Olympic Committee reports that the Palestinian Swimming and Aquatic Sport Federation will hold a course for lifeguards on Tuesday, April 16.
This will be the first such course of the year to focus on lifeguard training and will take place at the Spanish Garden Pool in Jericho.
The course programme includes rescue techniques and how to administer CPR; there will be an international exam at the end of the course in order to gain official certification for the participants.
The course aims to provide a unified system in all clubs and centers under the umbrella of the federation with qualified and certified lifeguards ensuring the safety of the participants.
The federation confirmed that the lifeguards’ course is part of its development programme in order to serve the swimming community and to qualify more internationally-recognised trainers.
