Saudi to send 178 athletes to 1st Gulf Youth Games in UAE

Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, April 10, 2024: Saudi Arabia will be represented by 178 athletes when the 1st Gulf Youth Games gets underway this month. The United Arab Emirates is hosting the inaugural event, which begins on April 16 and will continue until May 2.

In total, 3,500 athletes representing Gulf Cooperation Council countries will compete for medals in 20 individual and team sports, including Paralympic events.

The Kingdom will be represented by 145 boys and 33 girls in athletics, archery, badminton, billiards, basketball, boxing, chess, cycling, e-sports, equestrian, fencing, golf, handball, judo, jujitsu, karate, swimming, taekwondo, volleyball and Paralympic events.

The Saudi athletes are making their final preparations in training camps at home as well as overseas.
