JOC President Prince Faisal wishes Paris-bound athletes best of luck at General Assembly

Amman, Jordan, April 9, 2024: HRH Prince Faisal bin Al-Hussein, President of the Jordan Olympic Committee, presided over the General Assembly held last Wednesday, April 3, at the Al Hussein City for Youth in Amman.

Welcoming representatives from National Sport Federations, Prince Faisal emphasised the great efforts made by Jordanian athletes and the sports system in putting the country on the international map, especially with regard to the Paris 2024 Olympic Games.

Prince Faisal was proud of the fact that five Jordanian athletes had qualified for the Summer Olympics, four in taekwondo - Julyana Al-Sadeq, Rama Abu Al-Rab, Zaid Kareem and Saleh Al-Sharabaty - and Obada Al-Kasbeh in boxing.

The Jordan NOC president stressed the importance of continuing working towards the development of Jordanian sport, and wished all the athletes the best of luck in their Olympic journey.

Following the General Assembly, the annual break fast for Ramadan of the Jordan Olympic Committee was held.
